For anyone who might want to fly in instead of riding, I live 10 minutes from Victoria international "YYJ" and the motel is 20 or so minutes from here.

Easy peasy - I'll git ya to yer room - or guide ya if you decide to rent a car - hey waidaminute - I'm fairly tight with the manager of National rent a car at the airport (she used to be our neighbour) - more to follow ;0)

Once I get things hammered out rate wise etc, I'll give y'all the info for booking and you can carry on with whatever ya need bud. I'll look after the rides, the big meal organizing (I tink I can get us a bbq by the local lions club, did I mention I'm a member ;0) and will have the truck there for the booze / parts runs :)

This outfit has offices in Vancouver and Victoria with stock in both.

If you rent form them, make sure you have it in writing big time - I had a couple rented for when my brothers were coming out - last minute the bastids took the bikes I had reserved to rent them to a group that wanted to rent them for a longer period - bad business in my books

Deeley's HD in Vancouver does rentals, have rented for my son twice now - they have always treated him well. Prices are..... well, they are prices. Not much different than Cycle BC - rented once from them as well, no problems there either.

If you rent in Vancouver you get to take the ferry over. Not much difference.

Also Kanes HD in Calgary have rentals, you can google their website. There may be others that you can find by a google search as well. Ya just need to bring money or a "big" credit card

Will tentatively have an r series X, with Mustang seats, or a facsimile thereof (looking at some used GW's, I may replace the X), available. Either way, a good ride for someone and their better half. Can even pick up at the Calgary airport if all is planned right.
Might cost a few cold ones though, and not those half pints either!

Will be doing my best to ride in to Victoria

Post by canuckinmd »

4-5 days to get there
3-4 days rest while I am there (yeah right!)
7 day relaxing to ride back to the Washington DC area

I think I have a viable plan and hope to meet my Canuck X riders there!
My older brother from Winterpeg has a Harley:( we are even going to try and meet up in Victoria.

Actually I met my first wife hiking "The West Coast Trail" on Vancouver Island in 1980!
I am looking forward to "tea time" again :)

BTW:  Have they opened the trail up for motorcycles yet?
