Hi,I've got 170,000 kms(about 100,000 mi.) on my 2004 VTX 1300S.How long can she go before a rebuild.Still running great with lots of compression.Backfires quite a bit on compression.

I would just make sure to have some sort of towing insurance, or credit card, keep up to date on servicing, and keep on riding. : ) lots of used 1300s and parts available when the time comes. : )

You can get a used low mileage replacement engine fairly cheap , rather than a rebuild.
