All right, so, if we are starting from the East Kootenays, should we consider the lake run through Kaslo and New Denver? Just asking, either way is fine by me...
Awaiting the vote.

May not even be able to get out if the wildfires continue. Hope no one loses their homes.
I don’t feel like going for a ride today, said no motorcyclist ever.

   .......... call bullshit on that one ......... 90% of the fires burning in BC at this time are human caused ...... huge lightning storms through the province the last couple of days could not out do human carelessness ....... jmhowtfdik ....... :anxious: :anxious: :anxious:

I rode to the NT/AB border and back last Monday and watched someone there just toss their butt.. meanwhile 200km south is wildfire.

Yep, ditto on Mo's post, also have reported several when throwing butts out the window. Or not putting out campfires. Absolute carelessness, some just don't give a s...
Lots of rain though here this w.e. though, that helps.

You are focusing on “the spark”, not the cause. The fact that there is overall reduced precipitation (whether rain or snow) over several years has turned a lot of wood into kindling. Dead wood is not decaying moistly but dryly. The ground cover is not capturing moisture because there is less of it. In the past a cigarette butt may not have started a mega fire if more moisture was already present, but it’s not.

Overall average temperature has risen, changing the weather pattern, shifting the precipitation patterns and making things drier overall as well as in the west coast. Look at the data, it trumps opinion. We will continue to see mega fires for the rest of our lives, as the planet is now warmer than when we were young. It will take decades to cool back to normal if the causes were to stop.

The data is unarguable and factual! Call bullshit if you want, denial is easier to live with.
