Think I`m holding off `til Ma Nature flushes the crap down the storm drains.

I've still got 2 feet of snow between the bike and the road.
Aways put your brain in gear before you let the clutch out on your mouth.

I am envious with you west coast riders! We are just getting started here in the east.

Now that you have had a clutchless bike for a year, how would you say you like clutchless versus a clutched bike? A year of riding should give a well rounded viewpoint.

I really like not having a clutch. I do downshift sometimes, to let the bike slow down instead of using the brakes. Most of the time I let the bike do the work. I really have no complaints. OK, maybe one. The clear cover on the dash is a very soft plastic. It scratches very easily. I have ordered a protective cover from Tankslapper to put on it. That should solve the issue. I was out for a couple of hours yesterday, nice afternoon.

Not yet tried a clutchless bike. You make it sound very interesting, Rickardo. Did it take you a long time to get used to?

It really has two clutches, one for the odd gears and one for the even gears. Seven speed transmission. Just missing the clutch leaver. Still loving it. It didn't take long to get used to. A little slow riding in a parking lot, getting used to slow tight turns was all. Just make sure it is in neutral when you are moving it around. If the throttle moves, it goes. The DCT (dual clutch transmission) model has walking forward and reverse, so you can leave it in neutral to move around. Got the protective plastic for the dash. It covered up the small scratches I put on it with my glove. Went on a 3 week trip to California and Arizona in May. No complaints. Irene likes it also. She does like the wrap around passenger seat the 2002 had better, but she says the seat is comfortable.

took the dct for a test ride last spring - learned real fast that the habitual blip of the throttle at a stop light is not a goooood thing ;)
