I'm currently a denizen of
Ottawa, although with any luck we'll be moving back East once the renovations
are done on our home here. I've never been a big city type. Nova Scotia has
been home for most of my days and we'll likely wind up there or perhaps Prince
Edward Island. Like VTX Al, I'm an ex-Navy type with some thirty years of
riding under my belt. Mostly Milwaukee Marvels, but as with most Canadian
riders of my day, the almost obligatory BSAs and Triumphs as well (T120 Bonnie
650). I have an AMI certification for wrenching, specializing in H-Ds. I've
been wrenching professionally for the last seven years now.
I became a convert of the VTX
about a year-and-a-half ago. First were the articles, then the spec sheets,
then the demo ride. It truly is an awesome and well-balanced ride. I'm still
in the shopping phase as we speak, but my mind is clearly set on the 1800C
model, though my better half Joanna likes the R model a tad more (Go
figure...). At any rate, I've been visiting the VTXOA website and ours and am
pleased at the amount of experience and expertise I find there. Hell, most
ridin' folk are good folk anyway. Yeah, there are exceptions to every rule,
but I like what I see so far.
