I have been riding for 34 years on and off (family come first) Last year I bought a new 2001 VTX 1300s. I only did local riding till the snow fell. This year I went to Americade, in June, then did a East Coast Tour in July - Quebec, New Brunswick, Cape Briton Island (Cabot Trail), Newfoundland (North-South, East-West), Labrador, and the East coast of Nova Scotia to Dartmouth. The I did a Iron Butt Ride from Dartmouth to Brampton Ont. in 24 Hr's. Total ride in 2 week 7500 K. This year I have put on over 25000 K. The bike has not gave me any problems. I added V/H Big Shots and a Hypo-Charger Pro and the gas mileage dropped 100 K a tank. My wife started riding this year and we are planning a trip for next summer to the BC and back. We are having a great time now the youth in the both of us has kicked back in.  The Grand Kids cant believe Gramma and Grandpa are bikers.
